Top 10 Ways to Support Your Air Ambulance

1) Make a donation

Help us to help keep your Air Ambulance flying by visiting our donate section.

Don't forget that, if you are a UK tax payer, for every £1 you donate to the Essex Air Ambulance, the Charity can reclaim 28p from the Inland Revenue through the Gift Aid scheme. All you have to do is complete our Gift Aid Declaration form.

2) Join the Flight for Life Lottery Weekly Draw & Superdraw!

If you are not already a member, this is a great way to make a regular donation. You pay just a £1 per week and this entitles you to be entered into a weekly draw for a top prize of £1,000! For an additional £1 per week you can join the Superdraw and be in with a chance of winning up to £25,000! Becoming a member is easy and your donation can be made by cheque, or credit/debit card. You can even play the Flight for Life Lottery via Direct Debit. 

3) Host a Fundraising Event

Whether it's a boogie night, a Christmas fete or a summer ball, hosting a fundraising event is a fantastic way to help raise funds for the Essex Air Ambulance. Put the 'fun' into fundraising and help raise awareness of the County's emergency helicopter. 4) Be A Corporate Sponsor

Your business can support the Essex Air Ambulance by hosting fundraisers, sponsoring events such as the Motorcycle Run or by simply making a donation. Why not benefit from promoting your business with a local charity whilst at the same time contributing towards the County's emergency helicopter service.

5) Volunteer

Talks and presentations, tin collecting, promotional distributions, event assistance.... We need dedicated volunteers to help keep Essex Air Ambulance flying.

6) Donate through your salary

This is known as Payroll Giving and is a hassle-free and tax efficient way of giving directly from your salary. It could not be easier; your donation is simply deducted from your monthly earnings before tax, which means your gift is worth more because the money you would have given to the Inland Revenue goes to the charity instead. For example, if you choose to donate £10 a month through Payroll Giving and you are a 22% tax payer, it will only cost you £7.80, the Inland Revenue provides the rest, topping up the amount to £10.

7) Get Sponsored!

9) Leave a Legacy

Legacies are a vital form of income for the Essex Air Ambulance and although still a relatively young charity it is beginning to benefit from this most generous kind of donation. One in eight life saving missions are made possible because of legacy gift and A gift to the Essex Air Ambulance means that we will be able to continue to offer the people of Essex a life-saving emergency helicopter service into the future.
