Remember us in your will

Making a Will is a relatively simple task which will help to protect your family by clearly stating your wishes as to how you would like your estate to be distributed.

People of any age ought to consider making a Will, irrespective of their health or family circumstances. Dying intestate; without having made a Will can cause legal and tax problems for the person or people administering your estate. This uncertainty may cause unnecessary upheaval for your friends and loved ones during a difficult time.

People often use their Wills to leave a gift or legacy to their favourite charity. Any gift or legacy left to a registered charity is also free from Inheritance and Capital Gains Tax.

A gift to a charity such as ours is taken out of the estate before inheritance tax is assessed, so by including us in your Will you can both reduce or avoid tax and know that you will be helping to save lives after your death with the money bequeathed.

One in eight life-saving missions is made possible because of a legacy gift! A gift to the Essex Air Ambulance is most gratefully received and means that we can continue to offer the people of Essex a life-saving emergency helicopter service. Since the charity does not receive any National Lottery funding we rely on the generosity of the people of Essex, particularly those who are kind enough to leave a legacy.

Why not celebrate your lifetime, provide for your loved ones and at the same time help to ensure that your life-saving helicopter flies into the future?

There are a number of ways to support Essex Air Ambulance in your Will:

Make Residual Bequest:
You can leave the residue of your estate to Essex Air Ambulance, whereby all that is remaining in your estate after other bequests, debts and charges is passed to the Charity.

Make a Pecuniary Bequest:
You can name a specific amount of money to be paid once your estate is settled.

Make a Gift in Kind: You can leave a gift of property, shares or any other item you wish to the Charity.

Family Flowers only: An alternative to leaving a gift in your Will is to ask mourners to make an 'In Memorium' donation to Essex Air Ambulance in lieu of flowers.

How can I make a gift? Making or changing a Will is relatively easy but we strongly recommend that you consult a solicitor so that you can be sure your Will states your clear intentions.

Your solicitor will require the following information:

Charity Name: Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust

Charity Registered Address:
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Trust
The Business Centre
Earls Colne Business Park
Earls Colne
Colchester
CO6 2NS

Registered Charity Number:
1108989

Thank you for considering leaving Essex Air Ambulance a gift in your Will. You are under no obligation to inform the Charity that you have done so. We respect that your Will is personal to you and any gift you choose to make will be of great benefit to the charity.
